I picked up this 4Runner named "Metal Head" a few months ago for $800 it was streetable and runs pretty good. I however, have no use for a streetable rig so I started chopping it up to shed weight. I am gonna do gears, tires, a cage, and a solid axle swap. Other than that I am leaving it alone aside from welding the diffs.
I have the solid axle already waiting to go in I'm gonna try and fab up my own hanger for the front leafs. My Dad is giving me a 220v stick welder. I may try and get a bender from harbor freight and try and do a bunch of stuff on my own. As it sits it still runs and drives so I can still have fun with it. It has crappy 31's on it and stock 4.10 gears, no lockers.
